AA Wallace Announces 'In Alpha Zones' LP, Premieres "Success"

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jan 18, 2016

After initially hinting that his debut full-length for Culvert Music would land last fall, AA Wallace has now officially unveiled the details behind his latest release. Titled In Alpha Zones, the album arrives on CD and digitally on March 11.

A press release explains that the Toronto-based singer-songwriter has put together a collection of 11 funk- and synth pop-inspired songs, which were all written, recorded and produced by Wallace. This includes a re-recorded version of his early solo track "Shake It Out," a song about touring with his old Sleepless Nights project titled "We Just Stopped" and the newly premiered single "Success."

While billed as a solo outing, Wallace brought a number of friends into his home studio to track guest spots on In Alpha Zones. Appearing throughout are PS I Love You's Paul Saulnier, Beams members Keith Hamilton and Heather Mahzar, string arranger Drew Jurecka (Bahamas, Great Lake Swimmers), and horn player Bryden Baird (Feist, Zeus, Broken Social Scene).
