Werner Herzog Might Make a Movie with Pamela Anderson

Lovably nihilistic filmmaker Werner Herzog already has an extremely diverse filmography, but he still manages to find new ways to surprise us. Take, for example, the news that he's most likely making a film with Pamela Anderson.

Anderson is the cover star for the next issue of Playboy (and the last to feature nudity), and the magazine enlisted James Franco to interview the star. In the piece, Anderson opened up about some of the more interesting indie film opportunities she's had recently before dropping the news that she was in touch with Herzog.

"I've been fortunate to have some incredibly creative people around me who want to give me opportunities," she said. "Like Werner Herzog called me...."

"Well, first I thought, Holy crap, the man who directed Fitzcarraldo wants to meet with me!" she continued. "We had lunch at Chateau Marmont, and he told me, 'You are something special. You need to be on the big screen.' I couldn't believe he said that. He has a project in mind for me, and I hope it materializes. The fact that I'm on his radar is really flattering."

Here's hoping the plans come to fruition, as we'd love to see what these two cook up together.
