On the heels of sold-out premieres of Summer of '84 at Sundance, award-winning filmmaking trio RKSS have now been tapped to bring fantasy novel series Amos Daragon to the big screen.
As TheWrap reports, the Canadian trio of Anouk Whissell, François Simard and Yoann-Karl Whissell will direct a live-action adaptation of the novel series. Sylvain Viau of IceWorks Pictures Inc., Benoit Beaulieu, Albert I. Melamed and Pierre-Alexandre Bouchard are set to executive produce.
Authored by Canadian writer Bryan Perro, Amos Daragon has sold more than 2.5 million copies to date, and has been translated into more than 15 languages.
Amos Daragon follows the adventures of the 12-year-old title character and companions Beorf, Lolya and Medousa, as they search for a series of masks that harness the power of nature to defeat evil.
As of yet, there's no word on when the film adaptation could see release.
