After taking us to The Place Beyond the Pines, director Derek Cianfrance will soon show us The Light Between Oceans with his next flick.
The heavy drama is based on the novel of the same name by ML Stedman and stars Michael Fassbender and Alicia Vikander.
As the trailer demonstrates, the story follows a young couple in love who live in a lighthouse. One day, a boat appears with a crying baby in it, and they opt to raise the boat-baby as their own. Later, they learn that the boat-baby belongs to its birth mother, Rachel Weisz.
