At this point, Cyberpunk 2077 is gaming's biggest punchline, and its star Keanu Reeves has contributed to it all by being captured buying his own Cyberpunk merch.

For reasons unknown, a masked-up Keanu was caught seemingly purchasing an official Cyberpunk 2077 figure of his very own character in the game, Johnny Silverhand. The image was posted up on Instagram only to be quickly deleted, but not before it was screenshoted and shared once again.

So why was Reeves buying his own character merch? We have no freakin' idea. But it's led to a lot of easy gags. After all, why would the game's star have to shell out his own money to buy his own merch? Have things really got so bad over at CD Projekt Red?

Sure, it's not nearly as hilarious as the bug-riddled game itself, but Johnny Silverhand buying Johnny Silverhand is a pretty weird situation to witness.

In the grand scheme of Cyberpunk embarrassments, though, this is really nothing. After all, the game had maybe the most disastrous launch in history, leading to refunds, lawsuits, removals from sale and ransom attacks.
