Take a 'Long Strange Trip' in the New Grateful Dead Documentary Trailer

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 16, 2017

The Grateful Dead were toasted by an impressive array of artists on last year's Day of the Dead compilation, and now the legendary band is the subject of a new documentary titled Long Strange Trip.

The Amazon original film was directed by Amir Bar-Lev and executive produced by Martin Scorsese, and it features interviews with and footage of Jerry Garcia, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir, plus plenty of crewmates, family members and Deadheads.

The film screened at Sundance and SXSW earlier this year, and will show at special screenings later this month before hitting Amazon Prime on June 2. Right now, though, you can get a sneak peek at the film by checking out a brand new trailer below.
