'South Park' Creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker Launch New Deepfake Series 'Sassy Justice'
Watch the first episode of the pair's show with Peter Serafinowicz
Published Oct 27, 2020South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have a new series for us. Made alongside British comedic great Peter Serafinowicz, the show is called Sassy Justice, and it dives deep into the world of deepfakes.
The first episode arrived on YouTube just yesterday (October 26), and you can watch it below.
A description describes Sassy Justice like this:
Fred Sassy is an American Consumer Advocate and reporter for the Cheyenne news at 9, a local TV station in Cheyenne, Wyoming. On his weekly show, Sassy Justice, Fred goes to battle for the common man in his hometown. This week, he's uncovering the dangers behind manipulated videos that are increasingly popping up on the internet.
The first episode is 15 minutes long, and by the looks of things, we should get new episodes on the regular.
As the voiceover at the start of the first episode explains, "The times they are a-changing. Scammers are finding new ways to take advantage of you, the consumer. Now, with a technology called deepfake, you can get screwed over and lied to in ways never before possible."
So if you don't want to be a victim, you better watch Sassy Justice below.
South Park recently returned with its "The Pandemic Special," though there is still no word on when Season 24 will begin properly.
