Poppy Calls Mars Argo Lawsuit a "Desperate Grab for Fame"

BY Josiah HughesPublished May 7, 2018

Last month, we learned that YouTube personality and musician Poppy and her collaborator Titanic Sinclair were being sued by Mars Argo for alleged copyright infringement. Now, Poppy has responded to the lawsuit.

As Billboard points out, Poppy (born Moriah Rose Pereira) broke character to share a statement about the lawsuit. In it, she said that the lawsuit from Mars Argo (born Brittany Sheets) is a "desperate grab for fame."

Further, Poppy revealed that she herself has suffered abuse in the past. Because Argo alleged abuse in her lawsuit, Poppy felt she needed to bring it up. She claims that Argo is working with the man who abused her at a young age with the lawsuit.

Read Poppy's statement below, along with a request for a restraining order that Poppy and Titanic Sinclair (born Corey Michael Mixter) had filed in 2015 against a man who may or may not be involved in Argo's lawsuit.
