The physical release was delayed due to a "technical issue," but a handful of copies that made it to shelves are a hot commodity

Can't Buy Me Love, but you can indeed buy an exclusive early release of the documentary chronicling the making of the Beatles' 1970 album Let It Be and their final rooftop concert in 1969 — if you have $999.99 USD to spare.

After Peter Jackson's three-part, nearly eight-hour The Beatles: Get Back documentary premiered on Disney+ late last year, the film was set to get a physical DVD and Blu-ray release on February 8, but was delayed due to a "technical issue."

"Hello All - We had a technical and supply chain issue with our 'The Beatles: Get Back 'Blu-ray & DVD," reads a message posted to the Beatles Twitter account on February 2. "We look forward to sharing a new release date soon."

However, it appears that some copies still made it into stores — including a Target in Orange County, CA, where several were reportedly seen in the new-release section [as per MediaPlayNews].

There are also eBay listings from sellers in the United Kingdom and Australia, with some amassing bids of up to $999.99 USD as of press time. In addition to the ongoing auctions, several successful sales are visible under the "completed items" tab, including a Get Back Blu-ray that went for $399.99 on February 7 — the day before it was supposed to be released.

It's worth noting that the DVD/Blu-ray release of the film doesn't include any extras and is merely a three-disc replica of what's been available to stream for the past few months.

Perhaps the cop who broke up the Beatles' rooftop performance is among the bidders, but he was more of a Simon & Garfunkel fan. Crosley Radio also recently announced a custom-built Let It Be turntable if that's more your RPM than trying to win a Get Back auction.
