Last week, all hell broke loose at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., leading officials to now roundup up and arrest many of the pro-Trump rioters involved. But just like Jamiroquai, action-movie icon Chuck Norris did not actually take part in the riots — even if Twitter thought he did.
Today a rep for the 80-year-old actor confirmed to PEOPLE that Norris did not attend the riots on January 6. The confirmation comes after a photo on social media went viral this week that showed a man at the riots who looked very much like Norris.
"This is not Chuck Norris and is a wannabe lookalike although Chuck is much more handsome," said the actor's rep Erik Kritzer. "Chuck remains on his range in Texas where he has been with his family."
But while Norris was not there, the actor is a longtime Republican and did endorse Trump during the 2016 U.S. election. So the idea of him being at the riots isn't completely crazy.
