Nickelodeon continues to remind us of the '90s by reviving some of its most beloved characters. After detailing a multi-faceted initiative called The Splat last year, they went on to confirm a Hey Arnold! TV movie. Now, they're getting a thoughtful wallaby in on the action with plans to bring back Rocko's Modern Life.
Entertainment Weekly confirms that Nickelodeon plans to bring back Rocko, Spunky and Heffer with a new, hour-long TV movie.
The TV movie will be executive produced by Rocko creator Joe Murray. In a statement, he said, "What I have found by bringing these characters back is that it's not so much about nostalgia, but a sense that they still feel relevant and fresh to me, and after 20 years, they can't wait to comment on modern life in the 21st century. They still have a lot to say."
With so much nostalgia at play, one can only hope that a Ren and Stimpy movie isn't completely out of the question.
