This month, the wait is finally over for the rest of Stranger Things 4, teasing "the beginning of the end" with the show's two-episode second volume arriving July 1.
When you've finished with that, the first of the month also sees titles like crime thriller Gone Baby Gone, curling comedy Men with Brooms, FUBAR and 2010 sequel FUBAR: Balls to the Wall, Keanu Reeves-led cyberpunk dystopia Johnny Mnemonic, American Civil War drama Cold Mountain and revered heist flick Heat arriving on the service.
If you're looking to spice summer up with action titles, some CanCon arrives July 15 with Ryan Gosling in The Gray Man, in which he plays a CIA black ops mercenary on the run after discovering agency secrets — quite the contrast to his recently revealed Barbie look. A day earlier (July 14), Netflix's live-action, eight-episode Resident Evil series will slash its way onto screens, produced by Constantin Films who previously helmed all six feature films in the franchise.
Documentaries are in no short supply this month, led by the four-part How to Change Your Mind, which sees Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney and New York Times best-selling author Michael Pollan explore the new psychedelic renaissance. Elsewhere, D.B. Cooper: Where Are You?! follows the 50-year quest to find the man behind the 1971 hijacking of a Northwest Airlines passenger jet, while The Most Hated Man on the Internet tells the story of one woman's mission against Hunter Moore, self-proclaimed "professional life ruiner" and founder of notorious website IsAnyoneUp.com.
Of course, as Netflix giveth, Netflix taketh away, and a trio of series are set to leave the service at the stroke of midnight on July 1. Outgoing shows include Seasons 1 through 5 of The Fosters, both seasons of the Glenn Howerton-led A.P. Bio and all six seasons of beloved teen drama Dawson's Creek.
