With Stranger Things 4 in the books at Netflix, you're probably fiending for something to fill your screen, and thankfully, Disney+ has plenty of offerings in store for August.
If there's been a Buzz-shaped hole in your heart since we last heard from everyone's favourite toy astronaut in 2019's excellent Toy Story 4, you're in luck; Disney-Pixar's unnecessary-but-delightful Lightyear is finally hitting streaming this month, arriving on August 3. We're also getting things called LEGO Star Wars Summer Vacation, When Nature Calls with Helen Mirren and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law from Marvel. Do what you will with that information.
Disney+ also has the highly coveted, freshly renewed FX-Hulu kitchen drama The Bear — starring the ever-dreamy Jeremy Allen White (Shameless) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Girls, The Dropout) — on deck for a two-episode premiere on August 3. Other series landing on the platform include Season 3 of vampire-comedy What We Do in the Shadows and Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers, as well as new episodes of Only Murders in the Building and High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.
August 2022 will also see plenty of shark-related content from National Geographic, including titles such as Shark Queens, Shark Side of the Moon and Sharks That Eat Everything. No mention of Sharknado this month, but alas.
