'Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' Reboot in the Works

It's at the point where we can now set our watches to the daily news of an unnecessary reboot. While The Rock and Zac Efron are shirtlessly plugging away at their Baywatch remake, Netflix's Fuller House is deep into production. And now another '90s TV institution has joined the fray, as a Fresh Prince of Bel-Air revival is in the works.

The series is still in its preliminary stages, but TV Line reports that Will Smith is hard at work on developing a modern take on the show. Though he still looks damn good for his age, Smith is not quite fresh enough to play the prince. As such, he'll serve as executive producer.

He's working on the show with his production company Overbrook Entertainment alongside producing partners James Lassiter, Caleeb Pinkett and Jada Pinkett-Smith.

It'll likely be a long time before we get more information on the Fresh Prince reboot as the show is still in its earliest stages. That said, we can only dare to dream that Jaden Smith's sage stoner wisdom is incorporated into the series somehow.
