Ewan McGregor to Play Two Roles in 'Fargo' Season 3

The FX adaptation Fargo might not be of interest to the Coen brothers, but it's still managed to capture big love from audiences and critics alike. We recently learned that the show won't be back in 2017, but it'll be worth the wait with news that Ewan McGregor has signed on.

As Deadline reports, the beloved Scottish actor will play two roles on the series, taking on the brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy.

It sounds like they won't exactly look identical, either. Emmit is reportedly a handsome parking lot mogul with a ton of success, while the slightly younger Ray is a balding, pot-bellied loser who blames his brother for his life's misfortunes.

Season 3 of Fargo is set to begin production later this year with plans for a 2017 release. The first two seasons of the show were shot in and around Calgary, creator Noah Hawley previously said they plan to return to Alberta to shoot the next instalment.

Stay tuned for more news on Fargo as it becomes available.
