​Ellen Page Announces Marriage to Girlfriend Emma Portner

Ellen Page has kicked off 2018 by sharing some exciting personal news. The Canadian actress revealed via Instagram late yesterday (January 3) that she married her girlfriend, Emma Portner.
 
Page and Portner both shared the news with a photo of their matching wedding bands, each claiming: "I get to call this extraordinary woman my wife."

Page famously came out as gay in 2014, while speaking at a conference on teenage homosexuality in conjunction with the Human Rights Campaign. Partner notably toasted the actress and her coming out speech with their 2015 track "The Ellen Page."
 
Page also made headlines back in November when she spoke out against director Brett Ratner's sexually inappropriate and homophobic behaviour on the set of X-Men: The Last Stand.
 
Page's recent onscreen projects include 2017's Flatliners remake and My Days of Mercy.
 
Portner, meanwhile, manages and directs her own contemporary dance company in New York. She's previously performed in and choreographed Justin Bieber's "Life Is Worth Living" video and worked on his recent world tour.
