Here's a treat for those of you that enjoy quiet, slow, impossibly posh period dramas: a Downton Abbey sequel is set to hit theatres this Christmas.
Simply called Downton Abbey 2, the new movie was announced today from Focus Features. The sequel will be directed by Simon Curtis, who previously helmed My Week with Marilyn.
There are no plot details available just yet, but Focus Features chairman Peter Kujawski said, "There's no place like home for the holidays, and we can't imagine a better gift than getting to reunite with Julian, Gareth, and the entire Downton family in 2021 to bring the Crawley's back home for their fans."
The first Downton Abbey film was released in 2019.
