Although her character Rose Tico was a highlight in Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi, actor Kelly Marie Tran was bullied off of social media last week following an onslaught of racist and misogynist abuse. Now, a Facebook group has taken credit for the attack.
A group called Down with Disney's Treatment of Franchises and Its Fanboys has since been deleted, but before then they shared a statement taking credit for the onslaught of hateful comments towards Tran.

A different version of the group was booted from Facebook earlier this year for creating an event called "Give Black Panther a Rotten Audience Score on Rotten Tomatoes."
