In a nutshell: much like Bryan Adams, Begonia is finding it hard to believe she's in "Heaven," while Charlotte Day Wilson wonders where "Even Is the Lie" and Mind Bath is feeling just as "Jaded."
This week sees the grand return of everyone's favourite modern-day Marie Antoinette, Grimes, with "Player of Games," as well as late-2000s alt-rock staples Three Days Grace. BAMBII follows up TRUCK RIDDIM with "TWITCH," NOBRO channel Fast Romantics with "Julia," Cots gets earthy with "Sun-Spotted Apple" and Sam Weber's in the loop with "Already Know."
Year-end list season is dominating the discourse, but some brave souls are still putting out new music: it's album release week for preeminent CanRock veterans Blue Rodeo, Caribou member Pick a Piper and Toronto multi-disciplinarian Lexxicon — who's also releasing a novel.
