Nashville-based singer-songwriter Zach Vinson will release his latest EP How We Spend Our Days next month, and in anticipation of its arrival, Exclaim! has got the premiere of new tune "Home."
Piano-playing virtuoso Vinson may call Nashville home now, but the musician was born in Wisconsin and has set up shop in places like Boston and Grand Rapids over the years. The new EP marks the end of a hiatus following 2011's The Streets Will Turn to Streams, and "Home" hears the singer-songwriter finding his musical footing again.
Just as he's jumped between cities, Vinson moves from instrument to instrument, showcasing prowess on everything from the piano to Wurlitzer to acoustic and electric guitars. "Home" opens on the ivories, but swells to incorporate a full-sounding array of pulsating drums, thump-along bass, rockin' guitars and reedy vocals. A musical ode to making a home wherever life's travels may take you, "Home" can be heard in the player below right now.
How We Spend Our Days arrives on June 2, and you can pre-order it here.
