As a founding component of Hella and a member involved with countless other projects, Sacramento drummer Zach Hill is a busy drummer in both practice and style. So it was even more startling when the octopus-armed stick handler released Astrological Straits, his first proper solo album, earlier this year. Chock full of Hills signature mind-numbing drums alongside a newfound penchant for singing and songwriting, the record added a new dimension to Hills storied career.
Fortunately, Hill will be taking his show on the road for a lucky few to see. Still, to keep you on your toes, hell be performing "Necromancer, the 30-minute-plus bonus piece that accompanied Astrological Straits as a bonus disc. The tour features Canadian stops in Toronto and Montreal.
