Are you or someone you know an exceptional woman or gender-diverse Canadian music industry innovator and/or creator? Nomination submissions are now open for the second annual Women in Music Canada (WIMC) Honours, which aims to celebrate and support those leading the way through outstanding success in their field during the eligibility year.

From now through December 11 at 11:59 p.m. ET, nominees can be submitted by prospective honourees or another Canadian colleague by filing out WIMC's application form. Those submissions will then be curated into a long list of nominees by a jury of music industry professionals, for which applications are also open.

That long list is then narrowed down to the final honourees by a finalist jury, awarding people submitted in the following categories: Artist of the Year, Change Maker of the Year (formerly Distinguished Leader), Entrepreneur of the Year, Excellence in Live Music, International Leader of the Year, Organization of the Year, the Career Achievement Honour (formerly the Trailblazer Award) and the Women in Music Canada Rising Leader (formerly the Honour Roll).

"Canada is brimming with incredible women and gender-diverse music innovators," WIMC Executive Director Robyn Stewart said in a statement. "The 2024 WIMC Honours program will elevate incredible leaders, their projects and their successes, all wrapped up in an incredible night of networking, comradery and great music."

Award recipients will be revealed during a reception dinner and showcase held in Toronto on March 5, 2024. Last year's winners included Artist of the Year Charlotte Cardin, Domanique Grant, STORRY and Yolanda Sargeant of Sargeant X Comrade.
