Two-time Grammy nominee Fresh IE (aka Rob Wilson), Peg Citys most notorious Christian rap artist, was the victim in a brazen daylight robbery in his church basement recording studio.
Thieves broke into the Winnipeg studio Wednesday morning (February 6) and made off with about $30,000 in recording equipment as well as invaluable hard drives storing new music from the famed Canadian hip-hop artist.
"Everything weve been working on the brand new album and everything, and other peoples albums is gone, said Wilson during an interview with CBC.
Wilson believes that the perpetrators could possibly be kids that he mentors at the church, which hes been doing for awhile now in his studio to keep them out of trouble.
"Its pretty disheartening to know people are going to do something like that when youre trying to do something good for the community, Wilson said.
