Wild Nothing Unveils New 'Indigo' Album, North American Tour

Hear the record's "Letting Go" now

Wild Nothing is once again hitting us up with a new album. Titled Indigo, the latest full-length from Los Angeles-based songwriter Jack Tatum arrives on August 31 via Captured Tracks.

The new album follows 2016's Life of Pause and marks the fourth Wild Nothing album. For a taste of the upcoming LP, you can hear the newly shared track "Letting Go."

Here is how Indigo is described:

Indigo is its own cyborg world, utilizing the artful mechanisms of human touch with the precision of technology to create the classic, pristine sound Tatum has been seeking his entire career. It finds Tatum at his most efficient, calculated, and confident after a decade of making music as Wild Nothing. On one hand, Indigo is a return to the fresh, transcendent sweep of his debut, 2010's Gemini, and on the other, a culmination of heights reached, paths travelled, and lessons learned while creating the follow-ups, Nocturne and Life of Pause.

In a statement, Tatum himself said, "I wanted it to sound like a classic studio record, as close as I could get it there. It just boils down to me wanting to fit into some larger narrative, musically, in terms of these artists I love. I think about how my music will age. Ideas of 'timeless' are going to be different — so if Indigo is not timeless then it's at least 'out of time.'"

To go along with the new album, Wild Nothing has also mapped out a North American fall tour, which kicks off in October. It includes Canadian stops in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, and you can see the details schedule below.
