Long-running alt-rock crew Weezer are slowly but surely leaking info about their upcoming studio album via a series of brief YouTube vids. Most recently, they've shared the album's release date.

Everything Will Be Alright in the End, Weezer's ninth studio album, is set to arrive on September 30 via the band's new label home at Republic.

The news comes via a new 41-second video. In addition to the album's release date, it seems to preview two songs. One's a slower anthem complete with harmonizing guitars, and the other offers a huge build-up to a faster pop song. Watch the video below.

Everything Will Be Alright in the End sees Weezer returning to work with the Cars' Ric Ocasek as producer, who worked on their blue and green albums.

The album's cover is taken from a painting called "Mountain Monster" by Chris McMahon, an artist known for adding monsters to landscape paintings purchased at yard sales.
