Let's all let out a collective whimper; the last full month of summer comes to a close this week. Luckily, this week's Can't Miss Concerts, from August 25 to 31, are here to help you stave off the September blues, with help from metal legends Black Sabbath, alt-country troubadour Ryan Adams and the infamous Kanye West.

If you're still looking for more, be sure check out our complete Concert Listings for many more must-see concerts and events.

Ryan Adams

It seems like Ryan Adams has done everything over his storied 16-year career, from sensitive alt-country to brash indie rock to an entire album of Taylor Swift covers. Now, the man of many hats is coming to Canada for what will surely be a scintillating slot at Ontario's Harvest Picnic festival. If you're making the trip to Dundas, don't miss his set.

08/26-28/2016 Dundas, ON – Christie Lake

Black Sabbath

Black Sabbath's power is legendary by now. The metal icons come to Toronto for the last time as part of their "The End" Tour this week, promising all the spine-tingling Iommi riffs and general Ozzyisms that have gifted the Birmingham noisemakers their lofty place in the rock pantheon. Don't miss your last chance to pay your respects.

08/29/2016 Toronto, ON – Molson Canadian Amphitheatre

Diarrhea Planet

Before you stagger away disgusted, it should be said that despite their unfortunate name, Diarrhea Planet are a barrel of fun, with an avalanche of catchy hooks and (judging by the band name) a sense of humour that make Blink-182 look like U2. Just make sure to lower your brows beforehand.

08/26/2016 Vancouver, BC – Rickshaw Theatre

Harvest Picnic

If you're looking for one last festival to close out the summer, Harvest Picnic may be the perfect way to spend your final few days in the sun. Leading a stacked lineup are Canadian music stalwarts Jim Cuddy and Jann Arden, as well as alt-country hero Ryan Adams. Take advantage of the fleeting warm weather while you can.

08/26-28/2016 Dundas, ON – Christie Lake

MSTRKRFT

After seven years on the shelf, Canadian electro-house masters MSTRKRFT made a respectable return with Operator earlier this summer. Now, they're bringing their blaring beats and screaming synths to Calgary. Check them out at the Marquee this week.

08/26/2016 Calgary, AB – Marquee Beer Market and Stage

Weaves

Weaves made a big splash this year with their self-titled debut LP, a diverse and kaleidoscopic record that mixed everything from math rock to pop to Tropicalia to craft a powerful opening statement. The band have been out on the road building on that statement, but the four-piece return home this week for a triumphant stop in Toronto. Help them celebrate their return Saturday night.

08/27/2016 Toronto, ON – The Horseshoe Tavern

Volbeat

Danish rockers Volbeat are tearing through the Prairies this week with fellow Earth-shakers Killswitch Engage. Equal parts Judas Priest and Johnny Cash, they are, to our knowledge, the first metal band to cover the Georgia Satellites and certainly the first metal to not look silly doing it. Check them out at one of the dates below.

08/27/2016 Edmonton, AB – Rexall Place
08/28/2016 Regina, SK – Brandt Centre
08/30/2016 Calgary, AB – Grey Eagle Event Centre

Kanye West

Praise be. The reigning regent of hip-hop comes to Toronto this week for a hagiography of Saint Pablo. Though he's certain to play tracks from his ever-changing new album The Life of Pablo, we wouldn't get too comfortable. Seasoned Ye vets know that the cardinal rule of his shows is to expect the unexpected.

08/30/2016 Toronto, ON – Air Canada Centre
