Wax Mannequin Hits the Canadian Road, Brings Along Candles

BY Jason SchreursPublished Jul 8, 2010

Wax Mannequin (aka Chris Adeney) is set to once again to leave his hometown of Hamilton, ON and embark on a new series of misadventures on the road. Adeney (who often blogs about his crazy experiences on tour) will go out west and back during July and August to support his latest album, 2009's Saxon.

If Adeney's often unpredictable live shows weren't enough to draw people out, get this, the dude's bringing his own line of Wax Mannequin-shaped scented candles on the road with him. The candles will be available in wintermint, sandlewood, coffee and pine. Talk about some sweet merch!

And you have to hand it to Adeney, the guy is devoted to filling up his tour itinerary, listing shows in vague locations like "Vancouver Island, BC" and "Kootenays, BC" for what we assume are yet-to-be-announced shows in towns along the way during his extensive BC jaunt.

To sample Adeney's Wax Mannequin stylings, an MP3 of "Something to Hide," from Saxon, can be found here.
