This week on Exclaim! TV, we have again shined the spotlight on some Canadian artists expressing their love for music via some exclusive live performances.
First off, Kat Burns of Forest City Lovers (pictured) stopped by on an appropriately stormy afternoon to perform "Keep the Kids Inside" (Rainy Day Version), as well as another exclusive performance of the song "Tell Me, Cancer." Both poppy tracks are off Forest City Lovers' fourth album, Carriage, for which the band are currently on tour.
Next, we have performances by Toronto's Eamon McGrath from the Bloor Ossington Folk Festival. The young troubadour had a full band backing him at the Theatre of Human Heath, where he showed the raving crowd a heavier side to his live set with "Rabid Dog" (you can watch the folkier side here). And look out for a live take of McGrath's "Machine Gun Cowboy" on Thursday (November 24).
Also, if you missed last week's videos featuring Tera Melos ("Kelly" and "Aped") and Julie Doiron ("Swan Pond" and "Dark Horse") be sure to catch up.
Of course, coming soon to Exclaim! TV are a pile of new videos, including an interview with the charming Dan Mangan, an acoustic performance by Library Voices and a set by the Big John Bates Grind Show, plus more footage from the Bloor Ossington Folk Festival.
