Vybz Kartel has been released from prison in Jamaica following his conviction in the 2011 murder of his associate, Clive "Lizard" Williams, as per The Guardian.
The dancehall giant's conviction was overturned in March after one of the jurors tried to bribe the others. He was originally set to serve life in prison, though that sentence was reduced to 32 and a half years shortly after.
The charges were appealed for Kartel and his co-defendants Shawn Campbell, Kahira Jones, and Andre St. John, all of whom now walk free besides Jones, who is still serving time for a separate sentence.
After his release yesterday (July 31), Kartel greeted fans in Kingston. Watch it below.
