Two Door Cinema Club Announce North American Dates Behind 'Beacon'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Jul 18, 2012

Irish electro rock act Two Door Cinema Club recently announced their sophomore effort Beacon will drop September 4 on Kitsune/Glassnote, and the band will cross the Atlantic early in the fall to play their new tunes for North American audiences.

The 22-date trip starts up September 28 at New York's Rumsey Playfield, but the band will have played four Canadian shows by the time the trip wraps up in late October. The trio will grace Toronto's Sound Academy October 5 and Montreal's Metropolis the next night.

Out on the West Coast, Two Door Cinema Club will treat Vancouverites to two separate shows. An October 18 show at the Commodore Ballroom should please the 19-and-up crowd, while the group will perform an all-ages show at the Vogue Theatre the next night. You can catch all the details down below.

As previously reported, Beacon was helmed by producer Jacknife Lee (U2, Weezer, R.E.M.) at his home studio, and the album is described as an "ambitious and heartfelt selection of tracks showcasing a stunning depth of songwriting and a broader, more mature sound." You can check out a trailer for the record down below.
