If you've watched a late-night monologue lately or read a newspaper, you're well aware that the United States' Transportation Security Administration has been stirring up controversy with its full body scanners. Now, the arguably invasive procedure has claimed its first celebrity bust, as officers at Los Angeles' LAX airport busted hip-hop legend Kurtis Blow for marijuana possession.
According to TMZ, law enforcement officials said they found "an anomaly" in Blow's pants, and he wasn't just happy to see them. Instead, they discovered a small stash of weed in his pocket. Because it was less than an ounce, Blow got away with a small fine.
Blow is best known for his genre-defining 1980 single "The Breaks." In addition to his early hip-hop work, Blow currently hosts a classic rap show on Sirius Satellite Radio. Best of all, he's also a licensed Christian minister, calling himself "the founder of the hip-hop church."
