A Tribe Called Red Unveil 3D-Printed 'Suplex' Action Figure

BY Sarah MurphyPublished May 28, 2015

Canadian electro outfit A Tribe Called Red recently released their new wrestling-themed Suplex EP, along with a music video for the title track — but now, they've taken the record's in-the-ring motif to the next level with the release of their very own action figure.

Working with Toronto-based 3D printing company 3dphacktory, A Tribe Called Red have brought the 8-bit wrestler from the EP's cover art to life.

The band seek to spark important discussions about "the representation of Indigenous people in mainstream media, stereotypes in sports, and the need of role models." As such, they will be giving away the design for the action figure so that fans can print and add their own modifying touches to the toy.

The JC Cappelletti-crafted design is available for free here, where you can also try to get your hands on one of 40 limited edition signed units for $50.
