Tired Kid — the Toronto-based alt-rock project of Thomas Kelly — has shared new music for the first time in nearly three years. New single "Scotch" is out now with an accompanying music video.
Kelly tells Exclaim! that the slice-of-life single draws inspiration from neighbourhood walks, Montreal indie rock band TOPS and, of course, scotch. The accompanying Laura-Lynn Petrick-directed music video follows Kelly as he goes through a familiar routine. It's shot on 16 mm film, giving the video a nostalgic feel.
The song marks Tired Kid's first release since 2020's I Like My Own Company.
