Toronto-based multi-instrumentalist and producer Sean Panacci — a.k.a. Bodyhorror — is set to launch his latest exploration of the musical cosmos with new single "Eva Galaxy," and Exclaim! has the premiere.
Panacci is a veteran in the local scene, having played in many bands, but Bodyhorror is where he gets to summon the greatest powers of his creative output. "Eva Galaxy" comes ahead of the mini-LP EVA, a project which Panacci wrote, recorded, produced and engineered entirely himself.
And the results are — if we may — out of this world: "Eva Galaxy" is a cosmic swirl of synths, guitars, saxophone and percussion, fusing together in a glossy instrumental electronic-jazz concoction. Even in its brevity, the track presents a cool-toned, melodic departure for the artist.
Due early next year, EVA will mark the follow-up to Bodyhorror's pair of 2019 EPs, Between Years and Spring in Toronto.
