We recently heard from Tora with their remix of fellow Aussie Hein Cooper's "Art of Escape," but now the Byron Bay-based five-piece electronic pop unit are set to unveil their own EP. Titled Intro, the four-track collection is due out next week, but you can give it a listen at Exclaim! right now.
The electro-tinged set of songs opens with the slick and shimmery "Jaigantic," and the smooth synths and crystalline croons carry over through "Surround" and "Calming Her," all the way to closer "Admire."
Intricate and unexpected percussive beats get paired with falsetto vocals across the four-song set, making for some seriously glittery grooves. You can catch the band delivering their sweet sounds live at their upcoming Quebec and Ontario dates, which are listed below.
Scroll past the shows to acquaint yourself with Tora by giving Intro an early spin. The EP arrives in Canada on May 5 via Indica Records.
Tour dates:
04/30 Sherbrooke, QC - Boquébière
05/02 Set-Therese, QC - Bar Le Chacha
05/03 Quebec City, QC - Théâtre Petit Champlain
05/04 Montreal, QC - La Sala Rossa
05/6-10 Toronto, ON – CMW
