Joan of Arc/Owls frontman Tim Kinsella was recently dubbed Joyful Noise Recordings' "artist in residence" for 2015, meaning the avant-garde indie figure will be cooking up a whole lot of material for the label throughout the year. Kinsella recently premiered his first song from the project, "Issues," and now you can see him prancing around in the nude to give the whole, ahem, package a boost.
Wearing but a pair of boots, some socks and his body hair, Kinsella jiggles along to the tune's pulsating electronic beat, using his patented, croaky croon to weigh in on, what else, personal issues. A strategically placed screen-within-a-screen obscures the dangly bits, but you'll occasionally get a glimpse of Kinsella's "super-moon."
As the song puts it, you'll see "all kinds of weird things" — including a pair of Garfield fuzzies, a disinterested woman, some greenery and more — down below.
By the end of the year, Kinsella will have delivered two full-length albums, a 10-inch, a 7-inch, a book, and a "surprise art object" as part of the project. You'll find out more info over here.
