While Swans percussionist Thor Harris is often seen hammering out beats onstage with the rest of the dark post-punk crew, a new mini-documentary on the theme of clinical depression is giving fans a more personal look at the musician's day-to-day.
As part of the Mental Health Channel's ongoing series of videos analyzing various mood disorders called The Inside Story, the doc finds Harris detailing major depression. Having been affected since the early '90s, he explains the panic, anxiety and suicidal thoughts he has experienced over the years, how art and exercise have become therapeutic, and tries to de-stigmatize medication and talking about your problems.
