A small amount of mystery surrounding the enigmatic Canadian songwriter Lewis (a.k.a. Randall Wulff) was lifted earlier this month when he was discovered to be alive and well. With the news came word that reissue label Light in the Attic would stop pressing his releases for the time being, but that hasn't stopped the output, as a third Lewis LP has now hit the web.
Years after he recorded L'Amour and Romantic Times, Lewis surfaced in Vancouver. It's been well-documented that he recorded nearly four albums' worth of material with producer Len Osanic at Fiasco Bros. recording studio.
The music was recorded in the late '90s or early 2000s, and saw Lewis working under the name Randy Duke. Now, Fiasco Bros. have shared 12 songs from the LP in a collection called Love Ain't No Mystery. As promised in the L'Amour liner notes, the music sees Lewis adopt religious themes.
The digital-only release is available to purchase now, directly through Fiasco Bros. here. Two songs from the sessions can also be streamed below.
UPDATE: As you may notice, the song below called "Fallin' Down" isn't actually on Love Ain't No Mystery but contained on a fourth Lewis LP apparently called Hawaiian Breeze. However, little to no details about that album have been revealed.
Thanks to FACT for the heads-up.
