Earlier this week, the White Stripes lashed out at Donald Trump when their song "Seven Nation Army" surfaced in a campaign video, taking to Facebook to "unequivocally state that they have nothing whatsoever to do with this video." The message went on to say Jack and Meg White were "disgusted by this association, and by the illegal use of their song" — and now they've driven that point home even harder with some topical new merch.
Through Jack White's Third Man Records store, the band have unveiled a new T-shirt denouncing the presidential candidate who copped their music.
Riffing on the White Stripes 2007 track "Icky Thump" (from the album of the same name), the front of the red shirt features white text that simply states: "ICKY TRUMP."
The back of the shirt features a particularly poignant quote from the song, which reads:
White Americans? What?
Nothing better to do?
Why don't you kick yourself out?
You're an immigrant too.
Who's using who?
What should we do?
Well, you can't be a pimp
And a prostitute too.
