At long last, the Sheepdogs are finally back. Today they have given us their first new music in three years — a song called "Keep on Loving You." What's more, it's part of a brand new EP.

The Sheepdogs' upcoming mini-release is titled No Simple Thing, and it's set to arrive on May 28 via Warner Music Canada. It marks the first material we've got from the Saskatoon group since 2018, when they released their album Changing Colours.

For an idea of what to expect, you can now stream "Keep on Loving You" below. It's described as "a vintage stomp-and-sway T-Rex-inspired track."

No Simple Thing was recorded in Montreal at Mixart Studios in late summer 2020, with the Sheepdogs laying down all the tracks live. It was produced by frontman Ewan Currie.

Of the new music, Currie said the following:

Recording together during the pandemic was like finding a life raft after floating in the ocean for 90 days. We were itching to play music and above all else some human interaction. We missed the brotherly spirit us the five of us have when we get together to jam. I hope folks get a lift from "Keep on Loving You." In times of trouble or sadness, we can find comfort and solace in what is my personal holy trinity: family, friends and rock'n'roll.
