The Dakota Tavern has joined the growing list of Toronto venues to have cancelled all concerts in response to the latest wave of coronavirus.
The venue didn't give an exact date when its live music hiatus would be ending, but an Instagram post promises the Dakota "will be back rocking & rolling again in the very near future."
Other Toronto venues like the Horseshoe Tavern, Lee's Palace, the Garrison and the Baby G have closed voluntarily due to the surge of the Omicron variant. In British Columbia, bars and nightclubs have been shut; Quebec has shut concert venues of all kinds.
