Terrence Howard Inks Record Deal

Maybe it was his role as a smalltime hustler and MC in Hustle and Flow coupled with Three 6 Mafia winning an Academy Award for Best Original Song that helped Terrence Howard get noticed. Either way, Howard has been signed to a record contract with Columbia Records.

Currently there hasn't been any indication of what type of music he will crafted on his debut release but Underground Online has reported that his group is named Terrance Howard Presents Me and the Band of Kings and the album will be titled A Little Bit More Like Me. The release date has not been finalized yet, but is slated for this fall.

"I wanted to produce and write. The only thing I didn't do was play all the instruments because I only play guitar, piano and some cello. But I brought in the most incredible musicians and left them in the room to do what they do, gave them complete autonomy, and they gave me gold. People always give you their best if you give them the room to give their best," Howard told Underground Online.

Aside from his music, the 39-year-old is currently appearing in a Broadway revival of Cat On A Hot Tin Roof and will be seen on the big screen in Iron Man this summer.
