When electronic duo Teengirl Fantasy announced their next set Tracer back in May, the album was described as "their most compositionally sophisticated work yet." Weaving in several layers of instruments, the newly unveiled "End" confirms those initial boasts.
Early on, the track kicks off juxtaposing busy Steven Reich-influenced marimba hits with the chillest piano plunks and electronic woodwinds. From there, the track builds a heady soundscape with sci-fi blasts, oscillating '80s synth tones and supremely minimal beats before ending on a decaying metronome clack.

As previously noted, Tracer arrives August 21 through True Panther Sounds, and Teengirl Fantasy will be heading out on a North American tour, which includes a Vancouver stop on August 17.
