Technical Kidman

'Bend Everything' (album stream)

BY Sarah MurphyPublished Nov 3, 2017

Following up their 2015 debut Something Stranger Coming on the Horizon, experimental Montreal trio Technical Kidman are set to unleash their sophomore album Bend Everything. But before it's officially out, Exclaim! is giving you the chance to hear it in its entirety.

The album was written last summer, then recorded between December 2016 and February 2017 with Jerusalem in My Heart's Radwan Ghazi Moumneh at Hotel2Tango studios.

Whereas the band's previous LP heard them using TV advertisements and pop culture artifacts for artistic fuel, the latest offering hears them turning their gaze inwards. In what they've dubbed an "exorcism" of their past work, Bend Everything finds the band reworking snippets of their debut record as the starting point for new songs.

The result is "a starker, more severe and minimal" offering, that criticizes and reworks old work as a means of transcending the past and "reprogramming" their habits.

Bend Everything is officially out on November 10, and you can pre-order a copy here.
