Sylvie Release New Album, Tour North America

The ex-Despistado Saskatchewanite known as Joel Passmore has been keeping busy with his band, Sylvie, since 1999. This year will be no different, as the band are releasing their third full-length, a digital EP, and embarking on a ton of North America tour dates.

The album, titled Trees and Shade Are Our Only Fences, was recorded with the ever-busy J. Robbins in Baltimore, MD and features 11 tracks from the band. It will be released on October 21 via Smallman Records. If you can’t wait that long, the band will be release the digital-only Fences EP on September 30.

As if that wasn’t enough, the band will be hitting up Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec on a solo tour before teaming up with Minus the Bear in the States.
