Christopher Pravdica (Swans, Xiu Xiu, the Gunga Din) has announced plans for his second album under his We Owe solo moniker. Major Inconvenience arrives on December 1 through Mothland, and you can hear its lead single "Time Suck" now.
Pravdica shared of the album: "I don't believe in inspiration as much as I believe in determination. My mind is full of crap, and any number of random thoughts lead to ideas. What remains is just the determination to see them through. So basically, it's my entire life, and everything I've ever heard or seen or imagined, captured in one moment of determination."
The Brooklyn-based artist will deliver 11 tracks of "electronic music informed by industrial, experimental pop and post-rock," which seems to be industrial-adjacent, based on its opening track.
"For the words of 'Time Suck,' I was thinking about how I don't care about wasting time and I think everyone should waste time," Pravdica said of the song. "I hate when people are uptight about wasting time, cause there probably isn't anything in the future to look forward to anyway."
