How's this for a bummer of a title: Getting Used to Feeling Like Shit. That's the name of the new EP from Toronto punks Stuck Out Here, which is due out on February 7 through Art Drug/Get Party Records and can be streamed on Exclaim.ca.
In a statement, the band described the songs like this: "The songs on this record range in subject matter from 20-something arrested development while a significant other moves forward in life ('Hangover Sex'), self-loathing after getting too drunk at a music festival ('Gertrude Stein'), watching childhood friends accomplish their dreams playing in the NHL while you sit in your apartment and watch them ('Clinton Radars'), and your staple, youthful reckless abandon ('Pass the Time')."
Hear the cinematically raucous, lyrically vivid tunes below.
Fans can order the EP over at Indiegogo, and catch the band live at Toronto's Izakaya Sushi House on February 7. Get the details about the show here.
