The Strokes' Albert Hammond Jr. Reveals 'AHJ' EP

BY Alex HudsonPublished Aug 21, 2013

Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. revealed that he had a new EP on the way later this year, and sure enough, the curly-haired six-stringer has announced the detailers of the forthcoming short-player. AHJ is due out on October 8 through Strokes bandmate Julian Casablancas's own Cult Records.

The five songs were produced by frequent recording collaborator Gus Oberg at Hammond Jr.'s own Manhattan studio and at One Way Studios in Upstate New York. It's a solo work through and through, since Hammond Jr. played all of the instruments except for the drums.

The EP will be available digitally and will be pressed on limited-edition 10-inch record. The tracklist is below.

The Strokes released Comedown Machine earlier this year but neglected to support it with any touring.

AHJ:

1. Cooker Ship
2. Strange Tidings
3. Carnal Cruise
4. Rude Customer
5. St. Justice
