Earlier this year, garage pop youngsters Smith Westerns signed to Fat Possum, who reissued the band's self-titled debut back in August. Now, the group are getting set to release their sophomore LP, Dye It Blonde, on January 18.
Expect the album to be a sonic leap forward from the lo-fi scrappiness of their early work, as it was produced by Chris Coady, who has previously made slick-sounding recordings with artists like Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Islands, TV on the Radio, Beach House and Blonde Redhead.
