Silversun Pickups to Play Surprise Show Tonight in Toronto

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jun 30, 2010

You've got to give Silversun Pickups credit for perseverence. The Los Angeles alt-rockers are currently in the midst of a lengthy North American tour, and last night (June 29) played a sold-out show at Toronto's Sound Academy. Tonight they've got a free night off, but rather than sit back and relax, they've decided to book a surprise show at Tattoo Rock Parlour.

The venue fits 600, according to Toronto.com, unlike the Sound Academy, which has a capacity of around 3,000. In other words, it's going to fill up fast, especially since the show is free, so you had better line up early if you want to get in. You could also listen to 102.1 the Edge, who are giving listeners a chance to get in the doors.

Perhaps this surprise show is thanks for the support Silversun Pickups have received in Canada. Back in March, they took home the Indie Award for Favourite International Group at Canadian Music Week.

Thanks to AUX for the heads up.
